It's just your perception.
This year is scheduled for Christian vs Atheist discussions,
but last year was devoted to Scientologists vs Wiccans.
I think next year will be Hassidic Jews vs Flying Saucer Cults.
i notice a lot of the discussions seem to be atheist vs christian here.
or is that just my perception?.
but, do the other people who are neither just not care to debate as much or are there just fewer or them, or both?.
It's just your perception.

i am searching for three books but am having a difficult time locating any versions online.. the books i am searching for are:.
"the four president's of the watchtower society".
"a people for his name" by tony willis.
"being a student, I am poor..."
"being a student, I must resort to thievery to obtain my research materials."
Why waste time in school? You have a demonstrated propensity for gains ill gotten. Perhaps a life as a mugger would suit you better.
Let's see, poor student... do you smoke? do you enjoy alcoholic beverages or other controlled substances?
Or are you living under a freeway overpass on a dumpster diet, o thou pitiable poor one?
May your path produce thorns to pierce your feet as you walk barefoot on the frozen ground.
The authors of the first two books you mention are still alive and rely on the royalties from their book sales to support them in their old age. You would deny them that, O Great Scholar?

i've read here that if the wt admits 607 is wrong or if 1914 is wrong, the logical result is that god did not choose them as his org.
can someone explain to me how that logically follows?.
couldn't they just say, "we have received new light on that, have learned that we cannot give a specific date (like how they abandoned 1935), but look, we adhere to the bible more strictly than anyone else, we strive to 'keep the cong clean' more than any other group, etc., so therefore, we must be chosen by god as his only org.
IO, thanks for the compliment about the spider web/fishhooks phrase, but I have to give credit to the TV show "Justified" (the FX network on DirecTV), about a US marshal and his adventures in eastern Kentucky. In one episode, hillbilly pot growers have rigged "spiderwebs" of lightweight fishing line with fishhooks where each line of the web crosses another. One of the bad guys runs into it. OUCH! That'll leave a mark!
Anyone unfamiliar with "Justified" should check it out. I think you can watch episodes over the internet if you don't have cable/satellite.
"Thirty hours a day spent watching TV is not too much!"

It has been suggested that the Watchtower's "overlapping" doctrine is a great catch-all suitable for all situations. Such is not the case.
The "overlapping" doctrine was developed specifically to address the question why the Watchtower's previous predictions about "the generation" that would see the end (Armageddon) have been repeatedly disappointed. Now that the last members of the original 1914 generation are preparing for their final dirt nap with no Armageddon on the horizon, the Watchtowr needs wiggle-room.
The original "generation" of jesus' parable provided SOME wiggle-room, but not nearly enough, as it turns out.
Dubs expected Armageddon to occur within the bible-based definition of a "genration" (about 70 years). When 70 years proved insufficient they had to come up with an excuse that was not an obvious excuse, and that's when the doctine of the "overlapping generations" was developed by the book publishers who serve the GREAT UNIVERSAL TIME-KEEPER.
How wonderfully ironic is THAT?
But the Watchtower has not indicated that the "overlap" doctrine enables some kind of STAR-TREK chronological all-purpose time-slip. At least NOT YET. If the Bible says a prophecy wil be fulfilled in X number of days-for-years, it means X and only X, not X ± Y.
So don't y'all go running ahead of the Great Time Keeper's Magical Organization. Let them dig their own grave one mouthful at a time.
IO, hopefully your friend will continue to increase in wisdom and accurate knowledge of the truth and not permit herself to be pushed into premature baptism. THAT would be a tragic mistake. If she can't explain all the deeper things of WT chronology, she ought not take the plunge into wetness.
Hopefully also you are now LESS "INTERESTED" in WT doctrine than you were earlier. It is a sticky spider's web festooned with fishooks.
just saw that on the evening news .
are they all having babies now or what ?
is there any stats on how many have left ?.
LIES make the world go 'round.
The individual rand-and-file Dub LIES about his time in field circus,
and the WTB&TS LIES about its rate of growth. There is no independent agency to verify this, it's just the WATCHTOWER's stinking world.
Remember, worldly people (Like the news media) do not deserve to be told the truth - this is Theocratic War Stategery.
By the way, do you realize that Muslim Theocrats believe the same thing? That it is OK to lie to infidels? They do.
there's a rumor going 'round that one of the dramas at this year's district conventions will feature jar-jar binks as the "faithful and discreet slave.".
some have denied this, stating that jar-jar was owned by lucasfilms.
asked for comment, the watchtower's legal department replied, "we cannot confirm or deny any rumors, but mr. binks may be available for the role, and when you are talking imaginary characters, one's as good as the other.".
Supposedly he's been studying with Janet Jackson for more than a year now.

i'm sure texas isn't much different from any other state.. we want clean air.
so, the auto manufacturers came up with a glorified box of charcoal that "filters" out the pollutants (simultaneously making the energy output less efficient requiring yet more fuel) called a catalytic converter.. most cars' converter lasts about 10 years.. .
i'm driving a honda accord from 1998. the coverter has given up the ghost and i don't pass the nox tests.. so.... i can't renew my registration and have to spend about $1700 to replace that stupid box of charcoal.. .
The catalytic converter uses platinum as the catalyst, which is the reason for the high cost.
Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) are formed by the high temperatures in the combustion chamber. They go down if the car is adjusted to make the fuel /air mix richer (more gas) but then CO and unburned hydrocarbon emissions go up.
One thing that *might* reduce NOx emission would be a water injection system. The water is vaporized in the combustion chamber, which has the effect of lowering the temperature. You might even be able to wet your air filter just before the test in hope that the "inhaled" water would lower the NOx enough for you to pass. No guarantees, though, and no, I've never actually done this myself. While it is in the range of "fringe-y" automotive mechanics, it won't hurt anything.
The most practical idea is probably for you to find a used but working cat at a junk yard.
